A Pirate Halloween

Bobby was struck with his first illness this school year the Saturday before Halloween. And that yucky bug stuck around for almost five days. He missed his school's trick-or-treat parade, but Tim made up for it by inviting him to WrightIMC's pot luck lunch!

This is exactly what both of these guys looked like one year ago on Halloween.
Bobby was set on wearing the exact same costume he did a year ago, a pieced together pirate costume. Which would be okay with me, but he wouldn't wear the extras that actually made him look like a pirate. He was basically going to wear a red striped shirt and black harem pants. I really wasn't okay with that. Which led to a melt down in the middle of Target while I searched for an eye patch. Which he also refused to wear.

One nap later, we settled on Jake from Jake & the Neverland Pirates. Don't know of Jake? You're lucky.
If you smile, we'll give you some candy!
Last year, only a very few number of homes in our neighborhood handed out candy. So we were invited to our friends' neighborhood with a lot of young families and where almost every house participates.
He hit the jackpot with the amount of candy he accumulated. We told our friends that we hope they didn't mind that we'd be crashing their neighborhood for Halloween every year!
