Wow! What a month it has been for Bobby! He succeeded in mastering a ton of new skills and has really worked on his sleeping (maybe he's finally starting to feel sorry for mom and dad).
He enjoys playing with his toys, now, especially his keys and his glow worm. He also loves his crinkly lion and crinkly books. He has gotten very good at grabbing his toys and holding on to them. He's also pretty good at taking out his pacifier and putting back in...well, when he wants to. I think he still enjoys watching me put it back in every 5 seconds.
When Daddy tickles his tummy, he just laughs and laughs! He is exploring his vocal cords, too. All day, I hear him let out loud shrill squeals. He isn't necessarily happy or mad; he does it just to hear himself.
This month, he worked very hard on rolling over to his tummy and last week he finally got it! Boy, did this change his world for him! He started rolling over in bed and sleeping on his tummy (which prompts me to check on him in the middle of the night) and we tend to find him in the most odd sleeping positions. It is especially pathetic when we make (err, I mean let) him cry it out for a while and go in to find him spread eagle with both legs hanging out through the crib slats. We can see his personality shining through already. He is very driven to learn his developmental skills. In fact, he had a hard time sleeping until he could roll over! And now that he finds himself on his tummy quite a bit, he thinks he should be able to crawl and gets super frustrated since he can't. So I pick him up and and let him stand up big and tall. He seems quite proud of himself when he does that.
Sleeping has been a roller coaster this month but, thankfully, he continues to improve. In fact, last night he slept the longest stretch he has, yet. Eight hours! Our Heavenly Father and Bobby must of had a talk about my impending nervous breakdown and decided eight hours of Bobby sleep would be good for the whole family. And it was.
We celebrated his day by going to the park! Of course, he loves taking a cat nap while strolling with mommy!
Oh, and here's what happened when I first tried to take some 4 month pictures today...

I swear, this kid is like a woman with PMS. Kidding! We love him and would not change a thing!
