Our Summer at Honey & Bubba's

Well, summer may not officially be over, yet (the heat is definitely reminding us of that), but our summer at Honey & Bubba's has come to an end. Here's what we did!

Fed the ducks at Lake Arlington with Chance & Miss Patrice! 

This was early June - before the heat took over our lives!

Rode in Arlington's 4th of July Parade! 

 Had a quick visit with Nana & Papa!

Went to the movies for the first time! We saw Winnie the Pooh as well as Kung Fu Panda & Charlotte's Web thanks to Studio Movie Grill's Summer Fun program!

Had lunch with Elizabeth a few times!

 Hung out in the loft...

 Became best buds with Buzz...

 Went to the library...a lot...

 Visited the Lane's several times (Bobby loves them)!!

 ...and finally came back home to our house! Bobby took one step towards a big boy room - no more changing table! It was replaced with his first bookshelf! If you know Tim well, you would know that he hopes this is the first of about 500.

Oh, and we added another friend. Woody! Unfortunately, Woody's hat was missing during the taking of this picture or I would have had all three! Bobby goes around chanting "Buh, Dee, Ha!" Translation: Buzz, Woody, Hat!

We are so thankful that Honey & Bubba let us be long-time guests this summer! Although our house is still on the market, we are pretty sure it will not sell this time around. Perhaps next spring, God will be ready to move us to Plano. At the beginning of all this mess, I was so disappointed with the way things were going (which is a little surprising when you take into account my attitude when I first realized that moving to Plano was the best option for us). But after seeing everything we did this summer, and the relationships and friendships that grew from us being in Arlington, I know it was not an accident or a mistake. God used this time for us in a very positive way.

We did other fun things this summer including a visit to the Ranch and a wonderful visit from our cousins! Stay tuned for those stories!
